Shipping Policy
This Shipping Policy describes how Crescent Bioresearch LLC processes, packages, and ships orders. Crescent ships within the contiguous United States only. Lot-traceable certificates of analysis are included with every shipment; cold-chain handling is applied where the compound's stability profile requires it.
01Service Area
Crescent ships within the contiguous United States only. We do not ship to:
- International addresses, including Canada and Mexico;
- U.S. territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands);
- Hawaii or Alaska;
- APO, FPO, or DPO military addresses;
- P.O. boxes (a deliverable street address is required for all orders).
If your shipping address falls outside our service area, your order will not be accepted at checkout. We may add additional service areas in the future; updates will be announced on the Site.
02Processing Time
Orders placed before 12:00 PM Eastern Time on a business day typically ship the next business day. Orders placed after 12:00 PM ET, on weekends, or on U.S. federal holidays will ship within 1–2 business days.
Custom or back-order items may have longer processing times; any extended timeline will be noted on the product page and at checkout. If your order will be delayed for any reason, we will contact you with options.
03Shipping Methods
We ship via UPS, FedEx Ground, or USPS Priority Mail depending on the destination, package contents, and customer-selected service. Standard delivery from our New York origin typically takes 2–5 business days. Expedited options (Next-Day Air, 2-Day Air) are available at additional cost and can be selected at checkout.
04Cold-Chain Handling
Lyophilized compounds are stable at room temperature for short periods but should be moved to −20°C storage upon receipt. Sensitive shipments include, where applicable:
- Insulated packaging;
- Ice packs or gel packs;
- Tracking and delivery confirmation;
- A short note recommending immediate refrigeration or freezing.
For time-sensitive shipments or particularly heat-sensitive lots, expedited options (overnight air) may be required. Crescent will contact you if such an upgrade is needed for your order.
05Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your destination, package weight, and selected service.
- Standard shipping: calculated by the carrier at checkout for orders under $150.
- Free standard shipping: orders of $150 or more (subtotal before tax).
- Expedited shipping: available at additional cost; calculated at checkout.
Shipping fees include carrier charges, packaging materials, and cold-chain handling where applicable.
06Tracking
You will receive an email with carrier tracking information when your order ships. Tracking information is updated by the carrier and may take up to 24 hours to appear after dispatch. Customers with accounts may also view tracking on their order-history page.
07Address Accuracy
You are responsible for providing a complete, accurate, and deliverable shipping address.
- Crescent is not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect or undeliverable addresses provided by the customer.
- Address changes after order placement are not guaranteed and depend on the order's processing status. Contact orders@crescentbioresearch.com as soon as possible if you need to change an address.
- Re-shipment of orders returned to us due to incorrect addressing requires the customer to pay additional shipping fees.
08Delivery Issues
If you experience a delivery issue, contact orders@crescentbioresearch.com as soon as possible. Common scenarios:
Lost in Transit
If carrier tracking shows no movement for more than five (5) business days, contact us. We will open an investigation with the carrier and arrange a replacement once the carrier confirms loss.
Marked Delivered, Not Received
Contact us within 48 hours of the carrier-marked delivery date. We will work with the carrier to investigate and resolve.
Damaged on Arrival
See the Returns Policy for the damaged-on-arrival replacement procedure. Report damage within 48 hours and provide photo evidence.
Significantly Delayed
If your order is more than five (5) business days past the estimated delivery date, contact us; we will investigate and provide options.
09Signature Requirements
The following shipments may require signature confirmation at delivery:
- Orders of $250 or more;
- Cold-chain or temperature-sensitive shipments;
- Shipments to addresses with prior delivery issues.
Signature requirements are noted at checkout where applicable. If signature delivery is required and the package cannot be delivered, the carrier will hold the package for pickup or attempt re-delivery per its standard policy.
10Carrier Delays & Force Majeure
Crescent is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather events, natural disasters, customs (where applicable), labor actions, public-health emergencies, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. Estimated delivery times are not guaranteed and represent typical carrier transit windows under normal conditions.
11Restricted Destinations
Crescent reserves the right to refuse to ship to any destination where local, state, or federal law restricts the importation, possession, or use of research-grade chemicals. Crescent also reserves the right to refuse shipment for any reason in its sole discretion. If your order cannot be shipped, you will be notified and refunded in full to the original payment method.
